Welcome to our hostel
This is a great hostel in Norway for groups which want to make the most of the outdoors.
This funky building – which has some real design quirks – is located right next to the Olympic Skating Arena which looks like a Viking Ship and was built for the 1994 Olympic Games.
The hostel is also near to the Mjøsa Lake which is a perfect destination for angling groups looking to land some monster fish – it is said there are species in the lake which weigh more than 20 kilos!
Within walking distance of the medieval city centre, the hostel staff are happy to help organise walking tours of the main sites. Don’t miss the cathedral and folk museum where the cathedral ruins are on display in a glass house.
And for train buffs, there is a railway museum here showcasing the Norwegian history of the railroads.
A fun experience for all groups is a ride on the Skibladner - the world's oldest paddle steamer still in timetabled service.
With all combination of rooms – including apartments with small kitchens which are great for families – it doesn’t matter when your group visits the Hamar hostel, there will be plenty to do. Why not make an enquiry now?
