Welcome to our hostel
It’s all about the location of HI-Chicago because it is just a block away from Grant Park, the lovely Millennium Park, the 'L' (elevated train) and the sights of the Loop. Not only that, visitors just have to turn left out of the front door and walk straight to hit the waters of Lake Michigan!
This enormous hostel has got group visits off to a tee. There are no end of excursions which leave the hostel every day – try out the locally guided city walking tour. Or if you want to have some laughs, then book your place on the comedy outing. All of the tours which leave the hostel are run by volunteers keen to show off an insider’s view of the third largest city in the States.
Voted as one of the easiest cities to walk around, art groups will be impressed with the calibre of the works on display here. The world greats such as Chagall, Picasso and Miro all have pieces here and Chicago is also known for the number of sculptures dotted around the city.
No visit to the ‘Windy City’ would be complete without trying a Chicago stuffed crust pizza. So why not try one at the popular lakefront restaurants – again all a short walk from the hostel.
Be sure to ask at reception about the discounts they have negotiated locally for groups – there are quite a few of them including reduced entrance fees at the Chicago Architecture Foundation, the Sears Tower and the Hancock Observatory as well as a money-off on Bobby's Bike Hike.
HI-Chicago is completely equipped to confidently deal with any group requirements. So why not make an enquiry there now?
