Welcome to our hostel
Now – I bet you didn’t know that Denim originated from Nimes? This is just one of the fascinating facts about this city in the south of France which attracts visitors from all over the world.
Our hostel here is a gardening group’s delight – it is actually situated in the middle of a botanic garden which is home to more than 80 different varieties of trees. Complete with a nature trail through the reserve, groups staying at the hostel have this unique nature experience right on the doorstep.
And for those groups looking to discover the historical delights of this part of France, there will be plenty to see. The Maison Caree is considered to be the world’s best preserved Roman temple which was built in the 1st century AD. And there is also the amphitheatre to wonder at. If more modern architecture is your preference then Nimes won’t disappoint with many state-of-the-art buildings on offer.
The hostel can provide groups with a picturesque walking tour which will take you directly to the sights. Preferential rates for admission to some of the attractions have also been negotiated so be sure to ask at reception for advice.
For music lovers there is the renowned Festival de Nimes which takes place every year and attracts huge stars like Bob Dylan and Elton John. And for emerging bands Nimes has a new music facility – Paloma – great for up and coming artists.
