We all know that Amsterdam is famous for a few things, tulips and the red light district being two of them. But did you know that it also has the world’s busiest Burger King restaurant which has never closed since it opened in 1993?
Out hostel in Amsterdam is in a state-of-the-art converted school building to the east of the city centre in the Zeeburg district. It is in a great location for groups looking for good transport links to the main attractions whilst being in a residential area which shows off the real side of Amsterdam.
Known as a bike-friendly city, Amsterdam is great for cycling groups looking to discover its delights on two-wheels. But even if you don’t have your own transport you can hire a bike from the hostel – just ask at reception. Or you can easily get around on foot or by using the inexpensive tram system – which stops right outside the hostel.
Amsterdam remains a city which attracts groups of friends looking to experience the relaxed lifestyle here in the bars and coffee shops. But there is also a rich history associated with the capital of the Netherlands. Don’t miss the Anne Frank Museum – even Justin Bieber made a stop here! Or the newly-renovated Rijksmuseum.
And of course see the work of the Dutch master painter Van Gogh in the museum dedicated to him.
The canals are also a great for seeing the city. Take a boat trip and see the stunning buildings which line the waterways. You could also take a ride in a gondola!
Our hostel in Zeeburg is a firm favourite with school groups and has a number of special educational packages including full board, rooms and activities. This can also be tailor-made to suit your class requirements.
So whatever your reason for visiting Amsterdam with your group, then make an enquiry at our hostel in Zeeburg. They are waiting to welcome you.
