Hostelling International Tripbook for

Group accommodation in Edinburgh

11 Entries

Our group accommodation in Edinburgh, Scotland, sets groups right in the middle of medieval architecture, charming cobblestone streets and ancient haunting tales. Using our group hostel as a base - groups can prepare a picnic and take a hike up the extinct volcano, Arthur’s Seat, for an afternoon spent admiring the panoramic views over the remarkable city. Groups can visit the Old Town and walk the ‘Royal Mile’ – a high street sandwiched between the iconic Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace. The street is peppered with wonderful shops, restaurants and endless historical sites such as St Giles Cathedral dating all the way back to 1243 – a particular favorite among those on educational trips visiting the city. School groups with an focus on art will love marvelling at masterpieces by Rembrandt and Monet at the famous National Gallery of Scotland. If you're planning a group trip to Edinburgh in August – the Festival Fringe is a must. The festival is the largest arts festival in Europe – featuring comedy, theater, dance and exhibitions. Make sure you and your group try the Scottish delicacy of Haggis during your stay!
