Group accommodation in Ghent

9 Entries

Our group accommodation in Ghent, Belgium, sets groups right in the middle of this vibrant hub of contemporary cosmopolitanism and archaic charm. Stroll along the beautiful quayside streets of Graslei together and admire the long rows of historical buildings reflected in the river. Take your students on a day trip to see the impressive Castle of the Counts, perched high above the city on battlements – built in the year 868, it’s the only remaining medieval castle in the region of Flanders and is now home to a historical display and incomparable views of Ghent. School groups will also be particularly interested in the St Bavo Cathedral – explore its fascinating interior in which the epic Adoration of the Mystic Lamb altarpiece hangs. Groups of friends looking to party in Belgium together are well catered for in this historic city with its wealth of festivals. Head to Ghent in June for the Jazz festival, MiraMiro which features street acts and circus performers, the 10 Days Off dance festival and rave the nights away at the I Love Techno festival in December. Its rich cultural heritage and history combined with its nonstop festival vibe makes Ghent a wonderful destination for all types of groups.
