Group accommodation in Kyoto

11 Entries

Our group accommodation in Kyoto, a city in the central part of Honshu Island, Japan, sets groups right in the centre of its culturally rich heritage and abundance of UNESCO World Heritage Sites. When most groups imagine a group trip to Japan they might imagine golden temples, geisha girls, Shinto shrines and towering bamboo forests – and in Kyoto, they will get just that. The city however, manages to balance its cultural heritage with the modern – hip cafes, bars and shopping districts all contrasting beautifully with the traditional and historic surrounding areas. School groups will want to visit some of the incredible, historically important temples dotted around the city including Kinkaku-ji (The Golden Pavillion), Ginkaku-ji (The Silver Pavillion) and Koinzan Saihi-ji (The Moss Temple). Groups can embark on a serene boat ride up the Hozugawa River or visit the impressive Nij Castle. Take a stroll from our group hostel in the evening and explore Gion – a Geisha district complete with beautiful old wooden buildings, teahouses and exclusive Japanese restaurants. Groups should take their time to fully explore this city – its beauty may not be apparent immediately but dare to delve a little deeper and you will soon fall in love with it.
